Daphne Blue is the pseudonym of Texas–based electronic and alternative independent artist Daphne Love G. (born May 17, 2006).

Music has been part of her story since childhood, beginning with a small keyboard she received on her seventh birthday. What started as a birthday present became the first step toward a lifelong relationship with sound and songwriting. Those early experiments, recorded on a laptop webcam, sparked a fascination with melody, emotion, and the craft of creating something personal and sincere.

Growing up, she was immersed in music from every direction. From the anthemic energy of Paramore and to the introspective depth of Radiohead, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan as well as the whimsical yet deeply human songwriting of Daniel Johnston and Fiona Apple, whose raw sincerity left a lasting impression, artists whose emotional honesty and textured sound would leave a lasting mark.

She began more actively exploring her own musical voice in 2020 during the isolation of the pandemic, when she started posting spontaneous covers on Instagram. What began as a creative outlet quickly became something more meaningful, a way to connect with others through sound and shared experience. That period marked the first time she realized that music could be not only personal expression but a genuine bridge to community.

Her influences continue to expand, with later discoveries of Pastel Ghost’s ethereal textures to Aphex Twin’s intricate soundscapes and Gesaffelstein’s dark, deliberate production, deepened her appreciation for mood and tone, forming a sound that balances melancholy and intensity.

Working out of a small studio she built in her closet, she records, collaborates, produces, and mixes in the hopes of creating something cathartic, experimental, empowering, and explorative.
